北京奥运志愿者项目BEIJING OLYMPIC VOLUNTEER PROGRAMS

　　Since the official launch of the Beijing Olympic Volunteer Program on 5 June 2005, an array of activities have been planned including six projects: “Towards the Olympics” Volunteer Service Program, the Pre-Games Volunteer Program, the Games-time Volunteer Program, the City Volunteer Program, the Social Volunteer Program, the Olympic Volunteer Work Legacy Transformation Program, as well as the Theme Activity of “Smiling Beijing”
　　北京奥运会志愿者项目自2005年6月5日正式启动以来，已经形成了由六个工作项目和一个主题活动组成的总体格局，包括“迎奥运”志愿服务项目、奥组委前期志愿者项目、赛会志愿者项目、城市志愿者项目、社会志愿者项目、奥运会志愿者工作成果转化项目和“微笑北京”主题活动。

　　Volunteers for the Beijing Olympic and Paralympic Games are accredited personnel recruited and managed by BOCOG, who take proper responsibilities, work at the time and in the position designated by BOCOG, in service to the Beijing Olympics and Paralympics Games without payment.
　　赛会志愿者是由北京奥组委组织招募，需要制作奥运会、残奥会身份证件，奥运会、残奥会期间承担相应岗位职责，在奥组委指定的时间和岗位工作，接受北京奥组委管理，义务为北京奥运会、残奥会服务的人员。

　　Volunteers are the cornerstone of the modern Olympic movement and act as ambassadors for the Olympic image. High-quality voluntary services are an important component of “unique & high-level” Olympic Games and will create new wealth for the Olympic movement.
　　志愿者是现代奥林匹克运动的基石，是奥运会的形象大使。高水平的志愿服务是“有特色、高水平”奥运会的一个重要组成部分，将为奥林匹克运动创造新的财富。
